The Cheap Kindle Daily read is St Patrick’s Day Special (Ben Jordan) by JJ Toner

The genre is Thriller with a 4.5 star rating at only 99 Cents!

“Secure your seat belt before embarking on this ride! Just a warning to expect twists and turns aplenty on JJ Toner’s wild crime ride. I’d say that this was a page-turner and if I was just reading to be entertained that would be true. But, I’m also a writer and I had to keep stopping to make notes on his techniques that I plan to steal for my own writing! I’ll leave it to others to deliver the plot points–I’ll just say that the tension never leaves the page and Ben Jordan doesn’t spiral down into the abyss–he plunges into it head-first. And, lest you think all is grim on the Toner landscape, the black humor he employs at just the right moment lightens the read with delicious and perfect pitch. Get this book and then keep your eyes open for his next one!” –Les Edgerton (Amazon Review)

Black Beast, cheap ebooks, ebooks, fiction, Indie author, Indie books, kindle, R.S. Guthrie, thriller

The Cheap Kindle Daily read is Black Beast: A Clan of MacAulay Novel by R.S. Guthrie

The genre is Mystery with a 5 star rating at only 99 Cents!

“Whew! What a thrilling ride! You can’t even begin to guess what’s coming next, even if you’re a seasoned horror/mystery reader. I love the humanity written into Bobby Mac, whose misfortunes are unbelievably intense and…believable…even if they are fantasy. Or are they? This is a read that will leave you questioning what, indeed, you really do know about heaven and hell, or your family and friends. Author Guthrie has a winner in this first novel of his, and his language and dialog skills make this a smooth, brilliant read!” –W. Jo BonVargen (Amazon Review)

_______________________________________________________

Decorated Denver Detective Bobby Macaulay has faced down a truckload of tragedy over recent years. The death of his partner; the loss of his own leg in the line of duty; the companionship of his beloved wife to cancer; his faith in God to his inner demons.

After the man who ruined his leg and killed his first partner is executed, Macaulay becomes the lead detective investigating the Sloan’s Lake murders. The method of killing in this double-homicide is so heinous it leads Macaulay and his partner down an ever-darkening path–one that must be traversed if they are to discover the evil forces behind the slaughter.

Just when Bobby Macaulay is questioning the very career that has been his salvation, he will discover a heroic history buried within his own family roots: The Clan MacAulay–a deep family lineage of protectors at the very core of a millenniums-long war against unimaginable evil.

“Black Beast” is the first in a series of “Clan of MacAulay” novels–a stellar first outing for new author R.S. Guthrie. The book is a page-turner that avoids meandering, written with tight prose that keeps the action flowing. The reader is taken inside the heart and mind of a common hero who will make you believe in good again–Macaulay is a believable, flawed character with whom each of us can relate and for whom each of us will cheer.

“An Indecent Death is an entertaining read! It features lots of interesting characters to keep you guessing on who committed the crime, plus a quirky and endearing main character (Nicholas Drumm) tasked with solving the mystery. Drumm exposes a suprisingly seamy side to the outwardly mundane world of elementary schools and their teachers. The book is fast-paced, engaging, and well worth your time!” –Morgan (Amazon Review)

The Cheap Kindle Daily read is Steps to Heaven by Wendy Cartmell

The genre is Mystery with a 4.5 star rating at only 99 Cents!

“I really liked this mystery. I got into the story very quickly and was pulled along by the author’s style. This woman knows how to write! Sergeant Major Crane is a dogged investigator with the SIB, Army Branch. He is believable if not always likeable. In this book he is looking into a murder/suicide and cannot let the case go. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.” –Dandy Dan (Amazon Review)

_______________________________________________________

Sergeant Major Crane, a Special Investigations Branch Investigator, in the Armed Forces, is a proud, dedicated and experienced soldier, constrained by the Army structure, but adept at manipulating the system. He and his young team of Staff Sergeant Billy Williams and Sergeant Kim Weston, based at Aldershot Garrison, have to investigate one of the most horrific cases they have ever taken on. A soldier who has deliberately murdered his wife and 6 year old son and then committed suicide.

Crane wants to know what is behind this horrific act, but has to battle against cynical opposition from his Officer Commanding, Captain James Edwards who makes him investigate a different crime. But Crane is vindicated when a second copy cat murder suicide by a soldier in Colchester is followed by a third in Catterick. Paralleling these investigations, Crane’s wife Tina wants a decision on whether they should start a family. A decision Crane is unable to make, haunted as he is by the deaths of three young boys.

All three soldiers had served in Afghanistan and all had religious pamphlets, making Crane ask himself what the soldiers wanted to be saved from? Do the pamphlets offer salvation, or slaughter? Crane doggedly pursues his theory that there is a religious connection between each murder/suicide, manipulating his colleagues to his own ends as he goes. But Crane is at risk of going too far, putting those close to him in danger.

99 Cents, A Madison Knight Novel, Carolyn Arnold, ebooks, fiction, Indie author, Indie books, kindle, Mystery, thriller, Ties That Bind

The Cheap Kindle Daily read is Ties That Bind (A Madison Knight Novel) by Carolyn Arnold

The genre is Mystery with a 4.5 star rating at only 99 Cents!

“TIES THAT BIND by Carolyn Arnold is a fast paced crime novel with surprising twists and turns to keep the pages turning quickly and her readers on their toes. As the first in the Madison Knight Series, Carolyn made a big impression on me with her strong, female, lead character as a Major Crimes Detective with a bit of a soft side. Madison is smack in the middle of a crime spree that she needs to concentrate on solving before someone else dies; if that is not enough she must deal with the personal issues of her partner, plus gaining the respect she deserves from her superiors, and all the while trying to keep her own emotions and demons in check. It’s no wonder she turns to chocolate. (Hey, we all have vices)  This detective series has a Law and Order feel to it and the suspense keeps the novel flying by. Great work Ms. Arnold!” -Kim Norris from The Kindle Book Review (Amazon Review)

_______________________________________________________

Detective Madison Knight concluded the case of a strangled woman an isolated incident. But when another woman’s body is found in a park killed by the same line of neckties, she realizes they’re dealing with something more serious.

Despite mounting pressure from the Sergeant and Chief to close the case even if it means putting an innocent man behind bars, and a partner who is more interested in saving his marriage than stopping a potential serial killer, Madison may have to go it alone if there’s not going to be another victim.

The Cheap Kindle Daily read is Committed (The Michael Doyle Chronicles)
by John W. Mefford

The genre is Mystery with a 5 star rating at only $2.99!

“Thrilling book with corporate espionage and plot twists that had me fooled at every turn. Wonderfully crafted and richly developed characters that make this a “relatable” story that is poignant in this era of corporate greed and the chase for the almighty buck. I read it on a 3 day vacation and could not put it down. A MUST read!!!!” -Ken Pudgins (Amazon Review)

_______________________________________________________

Fans of James Patterson, Rick Murcer, and Michael Connelly, prepare for a story so real you won’t believe it’s fiction.

Sinful deception. A malicious corporate takeover. A grisly murder. Unrelenting greed.

We all have that inner voice, the one who knows all but refuses to let even our closest confidantes inside. The one we must calm when we’re most unsettled. The one who seeks to understand our path, our destiny.

Michael Doyle lives in emotional anonymity, resistant to fully devote himself to anyone or any cause. Without warning, a technology conglomerate acquires Michael’s company, and he quickly sees through the fog of political posturing: false hope, layoffs, and blatant dishonesty.

Then, death reaches up and grabs him. Shaken to the core, Michael leans on his live-in girlfriend, who has touched his heart like no one else. But her haunting past resurfaces, and she’s pulled into a seedy web by an outside force so cruel, so cunning it destroys every soul in its path.

Can Michael rise above his greatest fear to uncover the truth about a murder and save the life of the person he loves most?

Only if he’s…Committed.
