by Stacy Eaton

“My Blood Runs Blue is brilliantly written by Stacy, and includes all the elements in a crime drama you could ask for: think the drama of SVU with the passion of a day time soap opera mixed in with The Vampire Diaries. There’s a little something for everyone in this story, and you won’t be disappointed at all. The detail that Eaton uses is tremendous in My Blood. The characters are great and really take on their own lives in this book. One of my favorite lines from the book that sums it up, “He killed you because you were – I mean, because you are – a vampire like us.” Classic!” –Keith Weaver, Author (Amazon Review)

About The Author
Stacy Eaton currently works full time as a Police Officer for a small township is Southeastern Pennsylvania. While her current position is that of a patrol officer, she spends a lot of my time doing investigations and crime scene processing. Forensics is something she loves and she takes her job seriously.
Stacy is also a wife to a Police Officer and with their constant schedules life can get very hectic in their home. She has two children. A son who is currently in the United States Navy, whom she is very proud of for what he is doing and for serving his Country. Stacy describes her daughter as a priceless princess who loves to help her market her books to teachers and other parents while she is at school and church.
When Stacy is not working the job that currently pays all the bills, she works on her business. Yes, I have my own business too.
Stacy has two Shiloh Shepherd dogs, Garda and Callie. They are a bit different than the standard German Shepherds most people are use to. They are larger and less aggressive and they have more fur! Garda has a face that resembles a wolf. (You can see by her photo that she wears a wolf pendant). Garda actually means “The Guardian” in Irish. It is also the name of the Irish Police. Rather fitting for their family of officers, don’t you think?
In Stacy’s spare time… she writes.
People have always told me that her that she was creative and I express things well. Many people over the years have told her she should write a book. It wasn’t until October 2010 that she took what they said seriously.
One day while driving around at work, an intense storyline came to her mind. She drove around her township in the dark of the night and worked out some of the plot line. Her next day off, she sat down and started writing.
She says, “I had no idea what I was doing when it came to writing, but I soon learned. You write from the heart. You put your thoughts into words and you put those words down on paper, well for me it was virtual paper but none the less I put them down.”
About half way through her book she started searching the internet to figure out what to do when she finally finished writing her story. She came across the Self-Publishing company Outskirts Press, Inc. She soon signed on with them and they walked her through the process. Making sure she had her manuscript edited properly, her cover done to her specifications and the book finally in print 5 months after sheI started.
“I must admit that I was not only proud of what I had done, but I was proud of myself for having done it. The most amazing moments have been when someone has asked to buy a copy of my book and says “Please sign it”. It humbles me to think that not only someone wants to read what I wrote, but they want a personal note from me. Those moments are wonderful to me and I walk away with a smile in my heart.”
Stacy continues to be excited about my writing and she loves to hear others tell her how much they enjoyed the stories she wrote.
Stacy also spends a lot of time talking to many of her new friends. She has made some wonderful friends with many other Indie Authors from around the world. They share techniques, marketing ideas and their tears.
Stacy currently has several other books in the plotting and writing stages so look for more from her soon!
